Description

This was more of an exercise in abstracting colour and form from a section of cliff face in Watergate Bay. I enjoy this stretch of coastline with its stretch of sand below the multiple layers of colour provided by the slate strata of its cliffs. I also used the opportunity to try out a means of glazes for the sea. I wanted to extract those colours and the captivation of the sea. These wilder shores always have a primeval quality for me where the rhythm of the ocean and land goes on regardless of us. Personally for me, that is a very reassuring message. Changing but forever permanent.
