Description

The Warnscale Beck flows towards Lake Buttermere, a favourite location for many who visit the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria. The image is a truncated view from Penny Bridge towards Buttermere lake in July 2019. The Lake District can often be cloaked with juicy rain clouds but during my stay there I was fortunate to experience lots of sunshine. The stunning view from Penny Bridge was an easy choice of subject for me. I particularly liked the contrasting terrains and features like the dead tree that pierced the horizon and even the little shepherd’s hut (or bothy) on the right. A memory of a wonderful walk around the lake. I really must get back to this heavenly place again soon.
