I came across this picturesque scene while visiting The Lost Gardens of Heligan this September. The sunshine that followed the short sharp showers made everything sparkle and shimmer with the amazing autumn colours that paraded the leaving of this year’s blissfully bright summer. I took some reference photos and decided to paint it when I had time. I used acrylics for this one and it was so good to blast it out with the spontaneity that this medium provides. I must go back this month and view the Christmas Lights in the gardens. A great place to visit if you haven’t already done so with a very nice cafe for lunch. 🙂
