High Dartmoor

Details – Oils on 40 x 60 cms Stretched Canvas.
Description
My wife and I visited beautiful Dartmoor earlier this year during blissful spring weather. The changeable moor was beautiful as always. At that moment, it was a wide gold and green space. The warmth invited you to explore deeper. It encouraged you to discover more about its mystical ancient landscape. I took lots of photographs that day but none of them did justice to the magnificence of the place. They never really can capture its essence. However, I did come across an image that came closer to my experience that day. It was one used in a National Parks advertisement. This means there’s a possibility I’ll need to pay a copyright charge if I decide to sell this piece. It is not wholly derived from that image so we’ll see. I have another couple of beautiful Dartmoor scenes I’m planning on painting this year. So If you like this, then stay in touch!
