High and Wild – Original Painting & Giclée Prints

A painting derived from a visit to the intoxicating countryside of N Spain near Balboa in the region of Castile & León. We had meandered high up in the hills and strolled off from the stony track to take in the magnificent distant view of blue and yellow. Then seemingly from nowhere, came this beautiful white horse. It and the eagle above gave movement to the stillness of the natural surroundings. He calmly roamed about us while cautiously keeping a close distance. It was his domain and a joyful moment for us to see him in this high and wild setting amongst the blanket of Spanish gorse.
