The Company of Clouds – Original Painting & Giclée Prints

The painting The Company of Clouds captures a stretch of north Cornwall’s coastline just west of Porth Quin. It is a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty owned by the National Trust. It depicts the beautiful summer’s day when wonderfully warm breezes pushed large white clouds across a blue sky. there were few people on the coastal path that day probably because most were on the beach cooling down and chilling out. So my wife and I had the company of the clouds while we enjoyed a serene vista of a gentle sea bordered by dramatic cliffs draped in a proliferation of late flowers and long grasses which buzzed with little lives. I really enjoyed and wanted to capture how the patchwork of worked fields  blended with the open coastal hillocks. It never ceases to amaze me how the scenery changes over such small distances in the UK. A bit like our weather!
