Seascape of Treyarnon using muted palette
Broken Light

Description

The painting is of Treyarnon Bay one afternoon in late Spring, on a beautifully bright but very breezy day. A bit entangled in places but I’m going to leave it here. For this image I simply used yellow, ochre, burnt sienna, phthalo blue and titanium white to provide muted colours with more emphasis on tone to try and reinforce the lovely play of light on the water. Though in truth, I think it was more like the sea playing in the light to anyone looking out from the shore that day.
